“Inspiration is everywhere, you just have to keep your eyes open…”
A piece of advice that lead Mark Jenkins on the journey of a lifetime. Growing up in a small English town, Jenkins always felt he was destined for more. Art was always a hobby of his, and his creative abilities never went unnoticed as a child, however it wasn’t until later in his adolescence that his true artistic passion burned to the surface.
Mark went on to study fine art & graphic design in college. His eyes were widened by the promise of opportunities that his creative talents laid before him. Overwhelmed by wanderlust and the desire to find new inspiration, Jenkins left England at the age of 26.
After years of extensive traveling throughout the world, Jenkins found a home in the United States. This is where his eyes were opened, yet again, to a new artistic frontier. The entertainment industry allowed Jenkins to take his artistic expression to new heights. From movie sets to the theatre stages, Jenkins has gained experience while continuing to seek inspiration for new pieces.
After being fortunate to work with companies like Cirque du Soleil and Universal, Jenkins now finds himself residing at The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. When he’s not working in the heart of Hollywood, Jenkins returns to his first love – painting.
“There’s something special about creating an original piece for someone,” Jenkins says. “I have my inspirations, and they have theirs. It’s like having two sets of eyes seeing one end vision and it can live on in an original painting forever.”
